The first series RV610LE, will be marketed with code Radeon HD 2400 Pro and HD 720p player support. So for them who wanted to turn HDMI 1080 have to buy the higher series. Radeon HD 2400 Pro memory used DDR2-800 or PC2-6400. The reason why only support for 720p is this card will be faced with the 8300 series with 64 bit interface and apparently this card also will have 64 bit only.
The next series RV610Pro or HD 2400 XT. HD 2400 XT memory used GDDR3 and the first AMD graphic card which full HDMI supported that is 1920×1080. PCB that used is the full version, not 64 bit version.
The next is RV630Pro or HD 2600 Pro series that used DDR2 only, same like HD 2400 Pro and will be faced with the 8500 series.
R600 will become HD 2000 series where HD designate the usage of AVIVO HD technology. The top level of product is Radeon HD 2900 XT with 320 stream processors, almost 3 times more than 8800GTX.
Besides, AMD also provide Radeon HD 2900 XT with 512 bit 8 canal memory interfaces. As about Crossfire has supported directly on Radeon HD 2900 XT.
Radeon HD 2900 XT also use HDR rendering 128 bit and also 24x Anti Aliasing compared to 8800GTX which only 16x.
Sapphire preparing the project to make dual RV570 in 1 board with internal CrossFire line. This apparently look like Nvidia Quad SLI GX2. This Sapphire dual RV570 graphic card had 2 power connector and a big heatpipe cooler above the second core but only placed 1 fan.
Not yet known how the achievement of this Sapphire graphic card but Sapphire will release this dual RV570 graphic card. This Sapphire dual RV570 graphic card will be longer from the usual graphic card, possibly would along 7950GX2 graphic card.
Because ATI Radeon X1300 does not had competitive superiority compared to Nvidia GeForce 7300 then AMD reevaluate this low end product. According to newest plan, AMD will replace Radeon X1300 with X1550 and made the product easier to overclock. AMD announced that ATI Radeon X1550 will be ready to be marketed on mid January 2007. As the addition, X1600 Pro (RV530PRO) also will be replaced by X1650.
ATI Radeon X1550 is the only one that permitted to be made with the higher specification than the standard spec. With this ATI Radeon X1300 replaced with X1550, AMD hoped Radeon X1550 will be quick-selling in the market.
If being seen the high end graphic card which available at this time, example AMD/ATI X1950XT then all of them will be seen same although with the different price. However all of it made by Nvidia and AMD/ATI. But if in the near future you saw X1950XT that different, this is the special edition because AMD made an announcement to allow the graphic card producer to make X1950XT design and produced personally. As expected to reduce the cost so as to be able to sold with the cheaper price.
This step has been begun by AMD on mid November when AMD gave the standart design to the manufacturers of graphic card. The results possibility will be able to be seen on mid January 2007. The official price Radeon X1950XT 256MB around 279 US dollar, and the price of special edition will be lower and would compete with Nvidia GeForce 7950GT 512MB.
Although Nvidia has been warn to do not overclock G80 graphic card but XFX has prepared G80 with higher clock that is GeForce 8800 GTX core 630MHz and memory 2GHz which standard 575MHz and 1.8GHz.
GeForce 8800 GTS standard had core 500MHz and memory 1.6GHz, whereas XFX release core 550MHz and memory 1.8GHz. The two graphic cards had optimized BIOS. All XFX graphic card was tested before to ascertain the stability in the high speed.
To increased the integrated X700 graphic card performance on RS690T chipset, ATI decided to add frame buffer option to the nort bridge.
This step aimed to handle the main constraint on K8 system, that is smaller memory latency to CPU will improve memory latency to north bridge GPU. Different with Intel GMCH which directly connect to RAM, AMD chipset must be connected to CPU memory controller via HT which reduce the integrated graphic card performance.
