Jon Lech Johansen, hacker from Norway, for several time succeeded in breaking through the DRM (Digital Rights Management system) technology code belonging to Apple.
Jon claimed himself was successful to hack this DRM code that enabled the iPod user to turned the song that downloaded from the other service, not only from iTunes.
Jon mentioned his technology as “reverse engineered” FairPlay System. Jon went through his company DoubleTwist, planned to licensed and commercialised the technology to the other digital music player manufacture.
